Good Reads

Here, I will be listing books that I have read and couldn't get enough of. Some may be popular books/series such as Harry Potter or The Thief. However, every book on this list is worth reading.
There will also be a brief review and description of each book.

  1. Harry Potter Series By J.K. Rowling
Every person has heard of Harry Potter, whether that be through book or film and I'm pretty sure every person wants someone to say to them "You're a wizard/witch (YN)" I know I do.
the first memory I have of Harry Potter is sitting reading Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone at the age of around four (With the help of my mum.) I can just remember wishing that one day, I#d be travelling on the crimson engine and going on my own adventure. I love the books. They are my childhood.

Harry Potter is the Chosen One, it's up to him to defeat the Dark Lord. He's joined by his two best friends, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley (and his fellow students) as they fight to keep the world that they live in the same. It's an epic tale of friendship and loyalty, a story for anybody with a love of literature. The Harry potter series are  Horcruxes; there are seven books and a soul can only be split seven times. They are immortal and will live on, not just on paper, but in our hearts too.

2. The fault In Our Stars By John Green

Whilst reading this amusing, yet heartbreaking tale of two cancer sufferers' love for one another, I cried enough to rehydrate the whole of Africa. Yes, there are times when the book has you in tears but then there are times when you're laughing so hard you're crying.
My friend actually suggested that I read it; before, I'd honestly never heard of John Green (is that bad?) but I immediately fell in love with his style of writing. Though I do wonder how he has such a profound knowledge of how teenage girls think and feel.

Anyway, the story is about a girl, Hazel Grace Lancaster, a cancer sufferer - she knows that she's going to die and we all think it too. Then, she meets Augustus (Gus) Waters, he'd been in remission after having Osteosarcoma and losing one of his leg. They befriend each other and fall in love. Gus whisks Hazel away to
meet her favourite author but then he gives her news that (I think) shocks everybody, every character. every reader. From this point in the story, you're in tears constantly.
It's a read I recommend to anybody and everybody...that is if you don't mind crying for months after the end of the book.
